I tried. Specifically, the pivot point needs to be in a location that would allow the facial visor to clear the snout, while keeping the shape that it has. There's no real way to keep the bevor's shape while also having it attached to the pivot, so an armet style of opening cheek/jaw plates works.

Hello, how to design a close helm that can function properly with a furry muzzle?? An armet may be a better option because the cheek and neck plates open to the sides... But the close helm with three things pivoting on one point could still be possible... Images from Wikipedia. Links in alt text.

A close helm depicting three parts pivoting at a single shared point: two visors (one for just the eyes, one for the entire face) and the bevor (which helps keep the helmet in place). The visors each have latches to secure them.

Was talking to a friend about TTRPGs and we ended up talking about what Logan in a fantasy/D&D AU would be like We all agree the half angel horse would probably go into paladin right?? XD

our Curse of Strahd campaign is reaching the final arc...here is Faust's token from time to time. I wanted Faust to wear their starting armor again for the finale and reflect on their growth. 🥹
