Well, the “General Admin” bucket for today comment was, indeed, “Herding cats.”

I've decided my weekly time sheet needs a "herding cats" category.
Another Thursday, another "Query Store found a query being executed over 1,700 times per minute, driving CPU to 80%+" story. Long live Query Store. Enable Query Store.
Today, New Crappy Outlook has decided not to show reminders for any meetings, so I've been late to every meeting. So not only can Teams not remind me of upcoming meetings, my new email/calendar tool can't either. Yay productivity?
Moving to the "New" Outlook is going to be the death of me.
After traveling this week, opinion: Reform DHS and ICE. I want basic human rights upheld and I want TSA paid. Travel, for most of us, is a privilege and not a right. If you choose to travel, show up early, be kind and respectful, and thank the agents that ARE able to show up to work unpaid.
1 hour, 25 minutes from door to clearing TSA Pre. Thank your TSA agents today!
Waited in line 30 minutes to get to the point where they split TSA Pre and General up. This is TSA Pre south line right now.
Get to ATL earlier than you would ever imagine you need to.
Great looking crowd for my Busy talk. Hoping I can help more people be bored once in a while! #FABSQLCON26
I’m up! Presenting “Busy is a 4-Letter Word” in C101 at 11:30 am! #FABSQLCON26
Me, in the coffee shop, wondering how the barista knew my name without asking me. Me, after having a sip of coffee: I’m wearing my conference badge. 🤣
Azure SQL Database Hyperscale, you say? Come to my talk on Friday (8:00 am, I know, so early) to learn all about it! Real customer stories included! #FABCONSQLCON26
I’m out of practice on work travel. I forgot to pack socks. Oops.
GitHub Copilot is just as confused about PowerShell errors with braces as I am, so the machines are not taking our jobs yet.
It's a good day when I'm the only woman on the call and one man asks another to be the note-taker. Didn't even look at me.
I’m delighted that a writer has summarized my feelings about music albums of the last few years: sometimes, less is more. www.npr.org/2025/09/16/g...
Why don't artists let their albums breathe?
Justin Bieber released a sequel to his album Swag before listeners even had a chance to really sit with the original. The move is indicative of a broader trend.

Oh no. Oh, no no no. I have just seen a coworker use "Gets" instead of "Benefits". No. I still refuse to acknowledge "Asks", we are definitely NOT going for "Gets".
3:30 pm on a Friday before a 3-day weekend is NOT the time for me to try to do CIDR calculations on the fly.
From the department of "I think I've seen it all, but just wait...", today I talked to a company that had over 400 Windows clusters. They were using File Share Witness for quorum. They had 400 2-core VMs on-prem - one for each cluster - host the witness.
As a side project at work this year, I started a study group for the Azure Database UX Designers. We went through the Azure Data Fundamentals materials. Multiple UX designers passed this exam because I taught them, despite only one having a background in data. That was a huge win for me!
I really really really really REALLY miss training people, and creating materials to train people. It has always been the favorite part of my job.
I've thoroughly enjoyed a Friday afternoon with no (!!!) meetings and created wonderful diagrams to illustrate the many ways ApplicationIntent=ReadOnly can be used with Azure SQL DB/SQL MI.
