Didn't post much about my time at AWU; Too busy and spotty internet. However, I have to post that these as a gift from the ever bestest @chronowolf.bsky.social featuring myself and my partner (we each get one!) Hand painted canvas-prints! I'll be over the moon about these for AGES~

Good to know for future reference that Frontier Airlines is insanely bad. Canceled flight, hotel offered was several miles away, zero transit provided, reviewed as "dangerous location", and new flight is three days away. I'd rather have Spirit back.

I'm in Utah. I haven't slept. Just hit the 24 hour mark, and likely will have 16 more to go before sleep can be attempted. Also, if it's against policy on flights to have music playing from my phone speaker, anything under 12 years old should also be against policy.

Enough time for about a four hour nap before heading off to Baltimore to catch a dumb-AM flight to Utah for AWU. Huzzah!

I need to get back into my Streaming shenanigans. Used to do this when I first joined VRC and got my first headset and was learning all the things (like how the greenscreen camera worked). The streaming was well received. Dunno how much of an audience I'd have, but maybe...

I'll be at Anthro Weekend Utah next week! While I'll likely have a busy time chillin with a couple of friend groups already, I'd love to get to see/meet/cross paths with many others (primarily mutuals) on here that may be attending as well~ So... yay and stuff! Lemme know if you'll be around!

If I placed a brisket on the sidewalk right now, I could very much cook it AND smoke it. ...and somehow die less than if I ate lettuce. What a timeline to live in.

I just realized how much I would absolutely lose my mind if there ever was a Star Fox VR game. Like, proper, full-send, "let's get some realistic-but-still-arcade-style" flight controls in here. I don't care if I'd do a barrel roll and immediately die IRL. Worth.

Picked up a Quest Pro on eBay for next to nothing as it was reported "Bricked". Good news: It loads into Android perfectly fine, GFX and tracking tests seem fine, and even the OS loads well enough to see hand tracking working. Bad news: It's a Dev/Prod model and I can't find a Retail OS for it.

In all honesty, I'm genuinely surprised it took this many *decades* for online interaction ID verification to become a thing. The fact that we've been winging the legalese all this time is fascinating.

Still been catering my "Discovery" feed a bit. It is now about 70% dragons, 15% gaming, 10% horse, 4% randomness, and 1% obsession with unnatural objects having planetary orbits around them. I really don't know about that last 1%, but it is Bluesky, after all.

My day job consisted of finding out the installation spec of the building read: "Maximum length 328 feet, panel to panel. Installed accordingly." Signal doesn't work. Nevermind that 328 feet is for "perfect conditions". *screm* "Spec'd for 6G, not 12G" I need a new career path. XD

I have to have THE most mixed feelings on the "Physical Media" discussions. Aside from some Switch and Wii games, I haven't purchased physical media for games in ~20 years, really after getting on Steam. Steam has taken a few offline, but I rarely/never played them anyways, so no loss to me TBH.

The trouble with me not being at TooManyGames this weekend was battling with myself on whether or not I was ever really needed to begin with.

I wish my toxic trait was copying AI content and reselling it as posters on Etsy (since you can legally do that) and banking a few % of the profits for my time and donating the rest to commission real artists on my timeline.

How's MY day going? Well, I pulled out a pizza, turned on the oven, set the timer for 20 minutes, came back in 20 minutes, and the pizza was still on top of the oven. So that's a thing today.

Attempting to do an 8K output of the visuals I did at Furality has been an adventure... ...especially when, compressed, it's still topping out at over 200GB. Why do I need 8K? ...I don't, but since the viz were created in Resolume, it's fascinating to see how far I can actually push things.
