Hit dog gone holler
It was a savvy Bluesky play to associate disliking Jalen Hurts with liking Trump. But you have it backward. Many people remain so positive on Trump and on Jalen Hurts despite mounting evidence of their deficiencies because they have high cognitive rigidity. jspp.psychopen.eu/index.php/js...
In 20 years, I think I’ll look back at this time period and really wonder about 2 things 1. Why did people like Trump? 2. Why did sports writers hate Jalen Hurts?
Please save the sarcastic "I thought Jalen Hurts couldn't throw over the middle??" posts for the regular season, Eagles fans
What if you just vote for the candidate you like the best and didn’t look to a political party for help making friends?
This feels grimly accurate. I think for most people, engagement with the party feels like getting on Temu’s mailing list: Just a neverending stream of spam asking for cash and no other meaningful call to be part of anything that might generate any sense of identity or community.
*Chris Simms/Steven Ruiz/Ben Solak voices “It’s because Joe Burrow doesn’t like motion”
Woke (good) NFL play callers in the top right quadrant. Unwoke (bad) play callers in the bottom left. No idea how Zac Taylor is still a head coach.
The Eagles finally using play-action because Nick Siranni learned how to turn a computer is immense progress. Nick couldn’t figure that out with a 2000 yard rusher and mobile QB.
Ok this is getting really funny because I keep asking how to improve the passing game and ChatGTP keeps going back to "look it's Jalen Hurts so let's stick with play action here"
I love having statistics for a thing that’s impossible to measure
Jalen Hurts... first read or bust 💥
Does this count as playing baseball? Generally no idea what anyone wants but this is a good example of an elected Democrat making a Trump appointee look like a giant idiot, in public. Or is playing baseball a different secret thing?
OSSOFF: Who won the 2020 election? CLAYTON: Uhm, you know, I'm not going to do this with you O: This is a job interview. You have an obligation to be honest with the committee. Who won the 2020 election? C: I'm not gonna get into that with you O: You're not being honest or forthright C: ...
The median American view (across the political spectrums) is “I should never have to do something I don’t like”. A country of 12 year olds who hate their parents.
This shit sucks but people say they want it. And of course there has never been something that people expressed a desire for that they then turned out not to actually like when they got it. Nope totally never happened.
Perfect Bluesky post, captures this websites ideologies to a T.
MLB is like the Democratic Party in that they’re deeply concerned about popularity and all their actions seem to be aimed at capturing some mythical person who has never become a baseball fan and will probably never become a baseball fan meanwhile baseball fans are yelling PLEASE JUST PLAY BASEBALL
The most effective thing Lamar Jackson did as a football player in 2025 was get his coach fired and sit out games
Access to youth sports is a real issue and probably plays a role in a national team underachieving. But it doesn’t explain a country never producing a single player to ever star in the EPL, La Liga, or Bundesliga.
All-time disappointing? Have you ever seen the USMNT World Cup record? 2026 is easily the best USMNT team of all time. Most wins Most points Best goal differential ever 2022 was as good or better than 2010. Not sure what your expectations where if that’s all-time disappointing
At BEST, the Pulisic international run has been all time disappointing. At worst...?
The only reason Balogun was suspended was because of complete incompetence. It’s only fair that the suspension is lifted by complete incompetence
I don’t think Belgium have been very good and I don’t think it’s impossible the US could’ve beaten them without Balogun. Now, if the US do progress, the corruption of allowing balogun to play will overshadow the result in many corners of the football world. And that’s unfair to the rest of the team
No they are perfect. It’s the most stupid & irrationally confident thing you can possibly do. You go slow enough so everyone can analyze your decision making skills in real time. The reward is the goal looks kinda cool, the risk is looking an idiot in front of a million people.
stutter step PKs are coward ball and you get what you deserve
I’m like 80% sure Andrew Bogut red pilled Ethan Strauss
trying to remember some things that suck about Australia —spiders —Andrew Bogut —different name for Burger King —too good at swimming —everybody good-looking (makes me feel bad)
Jalen has started for half decade - 3rd most snaps among QBs - 1 of 2 QBs to make the playoffs every year and have a winning record (Allen) -1 of 2 QBs to make multiple SBs, win a SB and win SB MVP (Mahomes) - Eagles are 5th in Off. EPA since 2021
I think of it more as a defenses learning his tendencies thing than a physical deterioration thing. If he continues to run less and he doesn't ramp up his throws to the middle of the field, he will have a smaller menu than most successful quarterbacks.
It’s nice that depending on whatever your own issue is with Jalen Hurts, that is the reason AJ wanted to leave. Very convenient guys like Scott and Matt
If Jalen Hurts really does throw to the middle of the field more after the A.J. Brown trade, he'll be a stereotypical divorced guy that only starts to do the things his ex-wife always asked him to do after the divorce
If not I’m sure his 6th offensive coordinator and 4th head coach will figure out how to help out Herbert
Justin Herbert was much better unpressured than pressured in 2025, but he was still "only" 12th in EPA per dropback and 17th in DVOA without pressure last season per @ftnfantasy.com. That means Mike McDaniel needs to do stuff other than wait for Slater and Alt to return, which I think is exciting.
@arkansasfred.bsky.social the fit king does it again. “Can I get your loosest fitting shirt that also too tight, thanks”
Won 11 games, repeated as Division Champs, while beating Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes on the road
2025 Eagles The Star WR is struggling, giving low effort, complaining about targets, and leaking to the media everyone hates the QB. There’s a debate in the locker room whether the OC knows the rules The head coach hasn’t slept in 3 weeks and looks like a stray dog. WIP is blaming the QB

What if Jalen knew AJ was starting to decline earlier than everyone else (who would know better) and that’s the real reason they started beefing.
Every Eagles reporter is obligated to tweet “the Eagles got worse”. While probably true, I will point out that the Eagles best offensive game by EPA in 3 years was week 8 vs the Giants.
I’m cool with him wanting to be traded. Throwing a temper tantrum all season (even after good games), demanding the ball, not playing his best when it mattered, while the QB got all the blame is what makes me mad.
I don't know if I've ever seen a player absolved as much as AJ has been; Cole Hamels got killed in this town a year after winning the World Series MVP.
He’s probably gonna win so hopefully he’s normal, but it stopped being “weird baggage” a while ago. Every new story makes him sound like a totally unhinged individual. If that’s what voters want then cool but there’s an actual job to do after the campaign.
Platner has some weird baggage, but what the Democratic establishment did was try to push an establishment dinosaur — an admittedly relatively popular establishment dinosaur! but nonetheless — in a cycle where people wanted neither of those things. So he’s the candidate now. This is real simple.
The Eagles can be weird but I love the fact they don’t baby their franchise QBs. Maybe Herbert would have a playoff win if he took some heat from someone involved with the Chargers
