I bought an amateur radio repeater. It's currently on the air and awaiting transferal of the trusteeship. Plus some additional equipment so I can get it properly set up on the Ohio Link Network. Perhaps I've gotten a little too deep into this hobby.
Fine-tuning is the new stored procedure. Logic pushed into the wrong layer. It's fast, of course. No remote lookups. It's as close to the model as you can possibly get. But it's a serious pain to version, to test, or to understand six months later.

I built Earshot. Agents listen to audio (a mic and my ham radio), transcribe it, and write it to shared memory. A chatbot reads it and chats about it. The interesting bit, the agents never talk directly. They just share memory. Agent coordination is just decoupling. github.com/redis-develo...

You probably haven't heard of the Reticulum Network. The tl;dr—it's an alternative network stack that's decentralized, encrypted, and runs on everything from Ethernet to LoRa radios to serial cables.
One of my goals is to own my stuff. I think a lot of people are tired of their data, their tech, and their network being controlled by centralized powers. I am one of those people.
I sometime banter with my AI. The smarter models have a pretty decent sense of humor. Or at least they stochastically fake one pretty well. Here's a fun little interaction with OpenClaw running GPT-5.1.

I'm starting a new meetup called CORE—the Central Ohio Radio Enthusiasts. It's for radio and radio-adjacent interests. It's not a ham radio club, we talk about that, but also GMRS, mesh networks like Meshtastic, Reticulum, and HaLow, software-defined radio, and shortwave listening.
A replacement for HamClock, which will shutdown forever come June, has been release. It's called OpenHamClock. Looks pretty swish! openhamclock.com

Found this nifty tool to create animated Mermaid diagrams. I've just messed with the free version but it's pretty cheap and even has a pay as you go if you just need a couple. It's at animerm.ai if you think it'd be useful.
