Recovering drug addict here, and HunterBiden is absolutely right. Shame never got me sober, It kept me using. Recovery happened because someone kept the door open long enough for me to walk through it. Harm reduction is how we keep that door open, you can't recover if you're dead! #WeDoRecover

Alberta can find $10,000 every month for a government podcast... But when it comes to Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH), suddenly the money isn't there. Nothing exposes a government's priorities faster than where it chooses to spend, and where it chooses to cut.

Scoop! After years of the UCP making it out that there was o specific budget for "Your Province, Your Premier", it turns out that Albertans are paying A LOT! Like almost $10,000 a month a LOT! #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli open.substack.com/pub/thebreak...

Is everyone suddenly rooting for Spain today? 😂 Remember Trump recently talked about cutting off trade with Spain... and now he has to attend the World Cup final and might end up handing Spain the trophy. You couldn't write a more ironic script if you tried. ⚽🏆

There were 109 overdose deaths in May. There were also a record-high 5,129 overdoses that same month. Thousands of people overdosed and survived. Anyone claiming harm reduction doesn't save lives: the data says otherwise. You have no idea what you're talking about. www.ctvnews.ca/health/artic...

Why B.C. drug deaths are down as overdoses hit record high

Despite the number of drug deaths in B.C. dropping in May, officials say overdoses have hit a record high.

To everyone who couldn't stop making fun of Canada 🇨🇦 after we were eliminated... Don't worry we saved you a seat. The United States is out in the exact same round. See you on the couch. 😊

1/2 ) I'll say this much about FIFA working with Trump: The way the Iranian players were treated was disgraceful. This isn’t about the regime, so don’t @ me, this is about athletes who came to play football and were punished by politics they don’t control.

Canada just made World Cup history… not only by reaching the knockout stage, but by becoming the first host nation ever forced to play an “away” game in its own World Cup. FIFA dropped the ball on this one BIG-TIME

UNREAL. Someone overdosed in public, right out front of the VERY location where Ken Sim and his ABC party prevented an overdose prevention site from opening. Reminder: this neighbourhood has the second-highest overdose death rate in our region!

The richest man owns X. The second and third richest men control Google. The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post. The seventh richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. And now the sixth richest could soon take over both Paramount and Warner Bros. See the problem here?

This sweet man introduced me to his metal prosthetic leg as “Rod-knee” and smiled. Millions of people in Ontario are driven into poverty and got to food lines because ODSP rates are so low they can’t afford food and rent. It’s a cruelty that breaks my heart and angers me no end. 🤬

I wrote an article about the importance of harm reduction. As someone whose life was saved by it, I know this much: Without harm reduction, far more ppl would be dying, and far fewer would ever get the chance to recover, we need both harm reduction and recovery. www.sitkamedia.ca/felicella-fe...

FELICELLA: Fewer overdose deaths doesn't mean harm reduction failed — it shows why it matters

Using a decline in deaths to argue that harm reduction isn't working is like using a decline in traffic fatalities to argue against seatbelts.

The headline wants you to believe decriminalization caused more overdose deaths... the article doesn't prove that. It takes a complex public health crisis and reduces it to a misleading political talking point. That's not evidence, that's clickbait. DO BETTER. www.sitkamedia.ca/overdose-dea...

Overdose deaths increased during BC decriminalization experiment, federal data shows

Overdose deaths rose from 2,098 in 2022 to 2,347 in 2024, an increase of 12% during the province's decriminalization pilot.

Woot woot 🙌🏼 John Tortorella said he was leaving his clothes in Carolina for Game 7. Congratulations to Carolina on winning the Stanley Cup. The only thing that showed up for Game 7 was Torts' wardrobe. 🏆😂👔
