I had to code and pronounce a time of death on a respiratory therapist colleague. There's a memorial plaque for her outside the emergency department to this day. I wrote and re-wrote my will. I will never forgive these ghouls trying to rewrite history and deny our experience.

Yes. We do not study the past with a view to feelgood vibes. Sometimes we encounter events and people that do that, but it is not the *purpose* of serious or just basically honest study.

Genuinely feel for O’s fans. And not just them. I still think today that Milwaukee or Tampa Bay should have beaten the Dodgers for Skubal. Show the fans you are really going for it. Hell, Misiorowski and Skubal as a duo would have elicited a weird combo of terror and joy right through the game.
