🔵After the storm #CycloneJude, hope flows again. UNICEF and its partners are using water trucks to provide life-saving clean water to displaced children and families in accommodation centres in Ilha de Moçambique, Nampula. Access to safe water is crucial for preventing waterborne diseases.

Ciclone Jude: UNICEF alerta para risco de doenças – DW – 11/03/2025

Este é o terceiro ciclone a passar por Moçambique nos últimos quatro meses. UNICEF receia doenças como a cólera, a diarreia e a malária, sobretudo entre as crianças.

Cyclone Jude is the third cyclone to hit #Mozambique in the last 4 months & made landfall in Nampula province on 9th March, bringing heavy rains & flooding. UNICEF is concerned about the impact on children & families. Ahead of the cyclone, we prepositioned large quantities of essential supplies.

Pleasure to meet 🇲🇿 Minister of Youth & Sport HE Ciafadine Paolo Manasse with members of UN Country Team. We discussed the enormous potential to create opportunities for young people, facilitating transitions from learning to earning & ensuring young people’s voices are heard.
