Happy Mother’s Day! Thank you to all the women who provide stability and strength to our communities. As I spend time with my mother and children, I am grateful for all the unseen sacrifices many mothers make that are recognized on this beautiful day.

JUST IN: House committee targets Arlington police, sheriff's office and prosecutors over 'sanctuary policies'

In just 10 days, we reached out to thousands of voters and have collected enough signatures to be on the ballot. We talked to voters from all over the district — from Arlington, to Rockingham, to Goochland. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped us along the way!

Once again Republicans are focusing on the wrong issue. Instead of trying to lower gas prices or invest in our communities, they want to continue attacking reproductive rights. Let’s stop playing politics with our basic fundamental rights; our bodies, our decision.

Danco, the company that makes mifepristone, has filed an emergency appeal to the Supreme Court to temporarily restore a federal policy that allows mifepristone to be prescribed online and delivered by mail. Failing to do so would cause immediate chaos and leave patients around the country in limbo.

Yesterday for #InternationalWorkersDay, I celebrated Día del Trabajador with FACETCares and returned to Fairmont Gardens — the first community I called home after moving to America. Back then, I worked three jobs just to make ends meet. Working families deserve a livable wage.

Today, 6 unelected judges have gutted the Voting Rights Act. Black & brown voters across the nation are in danger of losing representation at every level of government, because those same unelected justices decided they are more loyal to President Trump than our Constitution.
