Space warper | Budapest, Hungary, 2026 #architecture #architecturephotography #budapest #modern #balna #hungary #nikon #blackandwhitephotography #monochrome #blackandwhite #streetphotography

A high-contrast, black and white photograph looking upward at a modern building's facade. The facade is a complex, tessellated web of triangular glass panels and structural struts that form an angular, crystalline canopy. Reflected within the glass panels, which create a fragmented and distorted effect, are elements of the surrounding urban landscape: a distant street, moving cars, other buildings, and scattered trees. The sky above is dark, with soft, white clouds creating a dramatic backdrop to the sharp, industrial lines of the architecture.

One of my projects for 2026: participate in photo contests. My first entry ever was the 'ON1 21st Anniversary Photo Contest', and I'm thrilled to announce this shot took 2nd place! 🎉 "Stairway to heaven" | Budapest, 2026 #photography #streetphotography #blackandwhite #photocontest #ON1 #Nikon

A dramatic black and white street photograph looking up a wide concrete staircase from a low angle. Two people are silhouetted against a bright, cloudy sky as they reach the top of the stairs. In the center, a flag on a tall flagpole waves in the wind. The staircase is flanked by tall, modern architectural walls with sharp geometric patterns, creating strong leading lines that direct the eye toward the figures and the sky.

A screenshot from the photo contest website showing the winning announcement. The headline reads: 'Second Place: "Stairway to Heaven" by György Sziklai'. Below the image, the text credits György Sziklai and describes the photo as a minimalist, timeless image captured in Budapest in the evening light, focusing on powerful geometry and striking silhouettes.
