No Cos or Govts can forsee a breach & problem is the holes in their software aren't seen until AFTER it's happened. I don't think the 2FA thing is good enough even with banks as your mobile phone SIM can be ported (long before you know) & then crooks get one-time codes instead of you.
Sadly all things Origin has suggested ppl do like Equifax & IDcare don't/can't protect ppl from Identity theft they can only tell ppl AFTER they have been robbed. So there's no PREVENTATIVE ppl can do just wait and see IF they've been robbed. Once info on Dark web, no getting it back.😡😱😢
Yes even Govt cyber security is a joke. I don't think we keep ahead of or prevent these breaches & even Govts/Cos don't find out until someone tries to blackmail them & by then all too late. God only knows how much Origin paid in blackmail & what was stolen can't be retrieved anyway. :(
