DeKalb County has lost a legend. Saddened to learn of the passing of Coach Buck Godfrey. It was an honor to recognize him earlier this year for his extraordinary contributions to our community. His impact on generations of young people will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Coach.

Congratulations to Hudson for winning this year's Congressional Art Competition for Georgia's Fourth Congressional District. It was wonderful to meet him and his mom when they visited DC, and to learn more about his art and his goals for the future.

At this 250-year mark of the beginning of American democracy, we see democracy for all under attack. Unfortunately, it's the United States Supreme Court that's leading the movement to deconstruct our democracy, and it must be reformed.

Happy World Vitiligo Day! Vitiligo is not only a cosmetic condition, but also an autoimmune disorder that impacts 70 million people around the globe, including me. I am proud to stand alongside Vitiligo patients around the world.

Today, the Supreme Court allowed Donald Trump and Stephen Miller to withdraw Temporary Protected Status from the 11,000 Haitians that live in Georgia, and the 350,000 that live across the country. It is a sad day, but we will continue to fight.

Happy Father's Day to all our fathers out here in GA-04 & beyond. Let's celebrate our fathers -- step-fathers, fathers-in-law, mentors, coaches, anyone who is a role model making a positive impact on our families and communities. We need your steady hand now more than ever.

On June 19, 1865, Union General Gordon Granger delivered an order to finally enforce the Emancipation Proclamation, freeing 250,000 enslaved Black Texans. Today, we celebrate that freedom and recommit to today’s fight for justice and equality. Happy Juneteenth!

This National Gun Violence Awareness Day, I am wearing orange to honor victims and survivors of gun violence. We must remain committed to advancing solutions that keep our communities safe and prevent more tragedies from taking place.

Pride Month is a celebration of authenticity, community, and resilience. The defiant spirit of the Stonewall uprising taught us we must never back down from a fight for dignity. In today's trying times, I proudly stand with LGBTQI+ Americans in GA-04 and beyond. Happy Pride Month!

It was an honor to meet with Mýa and Sound Exchange to discuss legislation affecting compensation for artists and creators. Artists deserve to be compensated for their contributions to our country and culture, I am committed to making sure that this issue is a priority in Congress.

No matter what goes on in Washington, I'm committed to taking care of home first. Yesterday, over 100+ #GA04 residents came through Chamblee City Hall to apply for and renew passports directly with the Department of State at our Passport Pop-Up! See you at the next one?

It was great visiting @GoIUPAT this week in GA04 -- hearing their concerns & sharing how I'm fighting for them in Congress. Union members making our trades safer, building transformational & vital infrastructure across the U.S, and providing security for millions of working families in their trades.
