Stopped by the Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland today to celebrate Maine’s hardworking fishermen and Maine lobster! I’ve been proud to fight for our fishermen and our working waterfronts during all my years in public service. I’ll continue to stand with them as governor.

Yet another disastrous move by President Trump that will raise the price of prescription drugs for Mainers. Our seniors are already struggling with the costs of things like gas, utilities, and groceries, and this decision will cause more Mainers to tragically go without life-saving medication.

Unless we build enough housing to meet the growing demand, first time homebuyers will continue to struggle to find homes. It’s why I’ve pledged to invest $100 million a year in the development and preservation of homes across Maine that are affordable AND attainable.

For our state to grow and communities to thrive, babies need to be able to be born here. Closing maternity wards will drive families out and make that much harder. We’ve got a health plan to reverse this trend.

While Republicans vote to strip away food for kids and push working families off their health insurance, there’s somehow a bottomless pit of funding for another endless conflict that has already claimed the lives of 18 American service members. This has to stop.

Trump would much rather focus on disenfranchising as many voters as possible than building housing that families can afford. His agenda is clear, and that’s why it is essential that we elect leaders who ACTUALLY care about the needs of the American people.

Gathered in a couple backyards with friends and neighbors in Aroostook County this weekend. They want a governor who will be a fighter for working people, who will show up for their communities, and ensure our heritage industries and rural economies thrive. I'm ready to do all three.

Visited Fort Kent and some of the awesome small businesses in their downtown. Thanks to my longtime friend and former State Senator Judy Paradis for the tour and for introducing me to so many folks. We're visiting as many spots as we can while we're in the County, and this one did not disappoint!

Couldn’t agree more. Our birthing centers and maternity wards are disappearing, increasing the risk for expecting mothers in multiple counties. If we want Maine families to continue to grow and raise their kids here, they need access to the care necessary to make that decision possible.

Our Maine farms are so important. And the reality of farming is getting tougher: rising costs of everything from fuel to fertilizer, limited workforce and thin margins. Yet farm families continue to put in the work. I won’t forget them when I’m governor.

Big thanks to all the organizers of the Maine Potato Board Industry Dinner. It was wonderful to sit down, share a meal, and catch up with so many of the hardworking growers, processors, and industry leaders who keep Maine agriculture thriving.

Tonight I joined neighbors from Biddeford and all over Maine for a peaceful vigil to honor Joan Sebastian Guerrero — a 26-year-old father shot and killed this morning by a federal immigration agent. We came together the way Mainers do, and to say clearly: ICE out of Maine.

A life was lost in Biddeford this morning in a shooting involving ICE. I'm monitoring closely and will share updates as they come. Every Mainer deserves safety and security in their own community, along with transparency and a thorough, independent investigation into what happened.

Huge thanks to the town of Lisbon Falls and all the volunteers who make the annual Moxie Festival such a vibrant and fun tradition. Seeing our communities come together to celebrate what makes our state unique is one of the things I really love about Maine!
