TBH this is a valuable lesson we could all learn from you poets.
You can only worry about your audience so much because if you truly cared about reaching the masses you would have chosen something other than writing a novel.

Odyssey was great—I really liked the chronology/narrative shifts & pacing (it didn’t feel long!). Telemachus saying “my mom” and “my dad” was odd sounding. Bard on the floor at feasts was amazing.
