Happy to have my first paper published in @govjournal.bsky.social In the paper, I map and analyze the pre-appointment careers of Danish ministerial advisors. Political parties are central in most advisor careers. But over time, i observe fewer journalists and more policy professionals.

This concept is really neat and applicapable to explain the prevalance of food and ordinary house chores on the SoMe of some* danish politicians

If elites know this (and they very likely do) then it creates what @samfriedman.bsky.social and I have called a 'symbolic market for ordinariness', where those in power struggle to convince others that they are just like them www.hup.harvard.edu/books/978067...
