There is a place along the river not far from us that we call the Ice Fields. There is a spring of water that comes out of the ground all year long, and in the winter creates some beautiful ice formations. The last shot was my view as I headed back down the river.

TimeMachine on this date. #1 2017 A chickadee getting close. #2 2019 Sophie in the snow (yes snow) #3 2020 a beauty Sunset. #4 2021 A Blue Jay landing and showing off what we don't often see.
Took Maggie for a nice long walk today. She gets more obedient every day, such a smart doggie.
Sammy Blue Jay taking off from the feeder this morning showing those amazing colours and designs.
Little #Maggie the neighbourhood dog I get to visit a few times a week as her Mom works all day. Here she is this afternoon working on her retreaving skills.
#Sammy #BlueJay coming in to the feeder this morning. Notice the slight break in feathers of his right wing. It's a wonder this doesn't happen more often, when you see the way they fly right into what looks like impenetrable bush. #NaturePhotography
I changed my set-up so I could show the more colourful side of the #BlueJays. I will post more later in the day. Sammy taking off with a prize.#NaturePhotography
Three shots to put an end to the day. I was watching these two #sailboats racing each other and one just had a jib flying the other main and jib. Jib only led the way. Then I saw these #geese coming my way. How beautiful. Then the #sun setting behind the trees on the other side.
TimeMachine for today. #1 2016 early morning chair on dock.#2 2016 sunset over river. #3 2020 Blue Jays at feeder. #4 2022 Sophie and Stella among the colour.
Visiting wee #Maggie this afternoon. First she is just thinking about her new world, then she is exploring it. She is a keeper for sure.#NaturePhotography
Two treats from early this morning. The River from my deck and cobwebs in the field, same day as in past years.
Yesterday after the waterfalls, I just had a little light left to explore the eastern end of the park which gives you access to the river. The first is of a Killdeer, then two synchronized Egrets. I even did one sunset shot looking towards the Nepean Marina. I have to go back.
My good fortune while playing golf with some buddies this morning, I stumbled on this #GreenHeron and happened to have my camera in the bag. The feathers raised on his head indicates his displeasure in me finding his special place #NaturePhotography
TimeMachine from yesterday. #1 2016 an Inukshuk at end of day.#2 2017 major fog on the river. #3 2022 an Osprey enjoying a good size bass. #4 2022 Sophie in the river.
A quick visit to #Remic Rapids on Aug 27 to see some of the #sculptures in and beside the #Ottawa River. Here are a few that caught my fancy.
Mud Lake Aug 27. #1 A Bay Breasted Warbler #2 an American Redstart. #3 An Egret hunting. Finally #4, all my ducks in a row.
This is special. My two deer, Mom and her fawn appear to be playing tag here in this clip caught by my trail cam a couple of minutes before 7 this evening.#NaturePhotography
