I think it's really interesting that both Hannibal and Will touch the other's possessions in this scene - Hannibal touches the gift in Will's bag and Will fiddles with things on Hannibal's desk. This shows how comfortable they are with each other's space after such a short time. #HannibalRewatch
I love Will and Beverly's friendship. Every time we see them together Bev is trying to connect with him, showing she understands him to some extent and wants him to form connections as a support network instead of the isolation. #HannibalRewatch
"There's something so foreign about family... like an ill-fitting suit. I never connected to the concept." There is something so lonely in the way Will talks about his lack of connection and the disconnection between himself and even just the concept of family. #HannibalRewatch
This scene feels so invasive and sinister. #Hannibal not hesitating before taking advantage of being granted access to Will's home by invading his privacy. It also feels a bit possessive, like Hannibal feels entitled to Will's space and possessions. #HannibalRewatch
I love how the show uses light and shadow to visually tell the story. For me, this foreshadowing Will's struggle between light and dark in season 2. #HannibalRewatch
“I know who I am.” This line makes me sad because this is a crux of Will's character arc. So many times he questions who he is and how he is changing, and what that means. His sense of self is shattered and remade several times over, he struggles to hold onto who he truly is. #HannibalRewatch
I think Will refering to his house as a boat on the ocean, his only safe space, is so telling. He only feels safe when he's alone and the world is dark and quiet. It shows how unsafe he feels in society, how intimidating he finds social interaction. Isolation is his comfort zone. #HannibalRewatch
Kacey's expression here is so perfect because you can see Abigail fully comprehend just how trapped she haa become. She was trapped by her father, who she loved and trusted to a degree, but now she is trapped by a man who is an unknown danger. #HannibalRewatch
