FINAL: FADE TO BLACK UConn 91 - Iowa 79 Tough game for the #Hawkeyes who fought back late. UConn was still chucking 3s with a 20 point lead and less than 30 seconds left. Looked like a MASH Unit out there: ChitChat hip checked down late & prior to that Ava Heiden had blood streaming down her face!

No "hard" t in words like important - no "hard" d in words like wouldn't. WTH people! What's even worse - those same people (and many more now) put a "hard" t in often -- NOT HISTORICALLY CORRECT!

Not many changes (none particularly significant) for the #Hawkeyes in the national FBS stats rankings through the games this weekend. Iowa's Defense continues to shine. And while UI did what it needed to yesterday to get the win over Northwestern, there's still room for improvement in the Offense.
The #Hawkeyes home game vs Purdue next Saturday will be a 6.30 PM CT kickoff on NBC.
FINAL: FADE TO BLACK...& GOLD Iowa 24 - Northwestern 10 Big win for the #Hawkeyes in Evanston. Kind of a weird last couple of mins. Offense played well. Defense was really good. Special Teams contributed in a significant way. UI improves to 7-2, 4-2; NU drops to 6-3, 3-3. Purdue is next at Kinnick.
3Q End: Iowa 24 - Northwestern 3 NU gets a sliver of hope with the FG, then the #Hawkeyes dash that with Braeden's 96 YD KOR which was a thing of beauty + lightning speed. Meyer's horrible drop on the last UI 1D play would have been another explosive - so Iowa could have got the dagger right there.
2Q End: Iowa 14 - Northwestern 0 The #Hawkeyes Defense is pitching another shutout - and the Offense is nearly perfectly run-pass balanced. Rushing is already over 100 YDs. Hank Brown's numbers are really good; Phillips & Diaz with explosives. The Halftime Stats...
