This is the first time I've actually seen the yellow crowns of Eastern Kingbirds. On this day, they chased a juvenile Bald Eagle out of their nest tree, biting at its head and face as it flew. Poor guy was just looking for a place to perch! 🪶 #Raptors

Two Eastern Kingbirds attack a juvenile Bald Eagle as it flies. The Kingbirds peck at the eagle's head and are showing their bright yellow crowns. The Eagle had committed the crime of landing in their nest tree.

Here's another shot of the juvenile Bald Eagle I posted previously. This was taken in dark conditions during a rain storm, but I'm happy that the bird flew over me so I could get a good look. 🪶 #Raptors

A juvenile Bald Eagle flies towards the camera on a dreary gray day. It's mostly dark with patches of white, and bright yellow talons.

Finding an affordable space with a view is nearly impossible in NYC, but here we have a pair of Ospreys who have nabbed a place with a view of the Manhattan Bridge for free! Located along the East River, they have easy access to fish and ferry service. 😅🪶 #Raptors

Greetings from NYC, a place you might not expect to find wildlife, but there are many animals to be found. This Red-Tailed Hawk enjoys a meal with a view of the Statue of Liberty. 🪶 #Raptors
