I thought it tacky when USAA, a private bank, announced their billboard/memorial on the National Mall, but for-profit patriotism is the rage in DC now. So, I ignored it. Now, USAA is informing it's customers, who chose not to opt-in, that it's adding their name to its billboard anyways. What the 🤬?
The White House just brought back letters of marque. This raises questions: "An action will be considered to generate a Critical Outcome if it is likely that it will result in the loss of life or serious injury; or, rise to the level of use of force or armed attack under international law."

Here's an alternative: McConnell is alive and conscious, but incapable of the job in plainly observable ways. Pontine stroke symptoms include pseudobulbar affect, aphasia, and hemiparesis. Permanent loss of ability to speak in complex sentences, control emotions, and move one side of the body.
