Daddy Danger Wolf

Texan living in Chicago who’s trying not to be fully assimilated. Jew. Leatherman. Coffee and bourbon are the keys to my heart. Chicago Leather Ambassador 2024. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2QLLY0VP62PZ7?ref_=wl_share

Opened Facebook this morning to clear birthday notifications and was hit smack-dab with a relitigation of the Leo Frank case to dismiss the ADL - and further anyone who addresses anti-Semitism - as actually just being anti-Black and I fucking hate it here.

I really wish I was someone who liked dressing up/turning a look more. I feel like I’ve arrived to my mid-40s choosing a “classic” look because I’ve refused to develop a personal style because I’m worried about looking silly - I need to invite whimsy into my wardrobe.

Okay. Two days to Dore and my biggest concern is what to pack. I’m so used to traditional leather weekends - contests, cocktail socials, etc - and vanilla gay street fests - Market Days, Pride Fest, Midsommarfest - that my mind refuses to merge the two.

Wildfire smoky selfie from a dad headed downtown on three and a half hours of sleep. Send coffee. And cash. Or just cash - this mustache doesn’t pay for itself. (Or like, just good vibes.) (The fact that I felt the need to put that is why I’m a terrible findom.)

I know I haven’t had enough to eat at the gym when I wade into a conversation about that terrible NYT op-Ed and just say “Jew here. Assimilationists were gassed along with the rest of us. They can get fucked.”

Sometimes Teddy sends me a metal track to listen to while we’re both at the gym and I forget to switch back to my own playlist after and the world briefly gets a glimpse into Danger from an alternate dimension where he followed his crush on Lars Ulrich and Henry Rollins into full metalhead status.

Okay, SF and other friends: attending my first Dore next month, first real solo event weekend, and astonishingly, first time in SF (first time in CA, even more astonishingly.) I’ve got a ticket to Ritual Friday; staying through Monday afternoon. What’re the musts? What are the tips and tricks?
