View from the library in Asheville #scape #landscape #mountainscape Spring is upon us. Thankful for the rain.

Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance almost obscured by stormy clouds, with cattle in a hill in front of a row of forest trees and rolling, lush, spring green farm fields in the foreground and wire fence bordering the fields closest to the viewer.a few larger trees on right.

Raphaella Vaisseau @heartfulart.bsky.social · 2y ago

I appreciate having this farm, trees, and mountains to gaze upon every morning. #Scape #landscape #mountainscape #farmview The spring rain has blessed the land in Asheville and given us green fields again, and blossoming trees.

Sky is a white, pale blue over Blue Rudge Mountains in the distance with fog in the valley behind a line of forested land, then small buildings behind a white fence bordering lush green farmland. Blossoming tree in foreground on right and barely blossoming trees farther away on lower left. Serene farm view after a rain.

Decades ago, when I first started painting with watercolor, I woke up in the night with a picture in a dream, saying “don’t get lost in the beauty of the world; follow your own path and transformation awaits.” Here is a detail of my response, Journey. #BlueSkyArtShow #pattern

Good morning from Asheville. Spring has started turning farm fields green and the redbud trees are beginning to show their color. #Scape #landscape #mountainscape #farmscape #viewfromhome #Asheville

View from home of greening farm fields with white fence across perimeter of fields, two houses on right side, trees with small buds in bottom right and left edge. Behind the fence is a forest of trees, and behind that are the Blue Ridge Mountains, with clouds in the pastel blue sky above casting shadows on the mountains.

My day as an artist included grant applications, spreadsheets, paper, errands, filling online orders, organizing, making prints, coaching, planning, and kitty love. Tomorrow I’m back in the studio. I love it all. Here’s a 24x24 #acryliconcanvas “For the Bees” www.heartfulart.com/Merchant2/me...

I love taking my art to the framers. Elizabeth at Blackbird Art & Frame in Asheville has great ideas on how a frame could complement my art. Here’s a glimpse of “Symphony of the Sea” watercolor painting with an artful frame. A lavender reveal & an 8-ply off-white top mat. #WatercolorArt #painting

“Window” a watercolor painting I did in 1991. I wrote this in my book of paintings: “Window: Frosted glass on a cold Minnesota winter evening. Rain steaming up a mountain cabin on a hot summer’s day. A prism through which to see the beauty of the world. An opening.” #BlueSkyArtShow #Windows

Print of “Window” painting in watercolor by Raphaella Vaisseau resting on a window sill with blue sky outside. The painting is blue green and purple rendering of frost on window panes in Minnesota where I grew up.

I went to church with my neighbor a few weeks ago and stared at this beautiful stained glass window for most of the service. #BlueSkyArtShow #windows #churchwindiw #stainedglass #Asheville

Stained glass church window with light illuminating the glass. It has a round top. Border all around is outlined glass strips with multi-colored panels between. Most of the window is golden sky panels, but in the upper center is a sunrise above a white dove which to me symbolizes the Holy Spirit.

Breathe in, breathe out.

A dose of calm amid the chaos. If you’re feeling exhausted, anxious or lost, allow yourself a moment to pause and come back to your breathing. Slow and steady. I know it may not help much, but even a small amount of calm can soothe the heart. May your evening be peaceful, my friends. 😊 #calm #peace
