As I approach the four year mark of my migraine, I’ve started sitting down with it every day and drawing it If it won’t go away, at least I can get to know it better, its colours, shapes, and moods It’s less about “capturing the pain,” more about being present and curious with sensations #drawing

Fixation of the day: this illustrated book of Czechoslovakian folk toys from 1951. The drawings by Emanuel Herick are beautiful, and the toys themselves are charming as heck
