Oil paintings and dry pastel paintings. I’ve been in a pastel kind of mood for over a year now. While I’m sure the urge to spread and mix oils with my pallet knife will return at some stage, right now I’m getting my fingers caked in multi-coloured pastel dust from all the sketching and blending.

I’ve not painted for a looong time. Very early days for this one but I’m loving it already, even the beginning frustrations caused by nerves and impatience. I need to wait for it to dry a bit… #ampainting #workinprogress
The mountain is out. I didn’t know it before I came to Seattle but for a lot of the time you don’t see the mountains from the city. One of my friends told me a volcano appears from time to time on the horizon, always dependent on the cloud and haze.
