Developer advocates don't always bring good news. You bring real feedback. If your product and engineering teams are properly aligned, they will appreciate that. If not, it can feel like you aren't finding the "fans" of your product. If your product is good, people talk about it.

There is NO WAY our engineering and marketing teams could keep up without agentic workflows at this point, the cadence bar has risen so high. It's an absolute necessity at this point. Drinking from the fire hose of everything at once. Thank goodness we have good people steering.

It's amazing how much more mentally tired I am working with agents. My prefrontal cortex is sore from constant use. Turns out hand coding was the part that was a familiar pattern and provided a bit of a critical thinking break. The planning of tasks continuously is demanding.

That which gets measured gets gamified. You aren't good at something because you spent the least or the most amount of resources on it. You are good at it because you have descernment of what works best. Imagine if recipes did this. Taste should be the driver of the outcome.

Yesterday I wrote how I'd expect more engineers to get rewarded the next perf reviews and promo cycles for saving token costs for their company. Today already got messages from devs who already got rewarded with eg bonuses for having done exactly this It only makes sense!
