Saturday 10:07 pm: Band of heaviest showers is now north of Zapata, lighter rain is falling in Zapata. A decent shower is west of Tourist Bureau on I-35. Lighter showers moving into Laredo.

Saturday 2:11 pm: The last 3 days in a row have broken the record highs for the date, the 2 days prior were 2nd warmest. Nearly the same for low of the days. Today will likely end our consecutive days to reach 100F at 33 days. 1993 had 48 in a row, 2023 had 46 days in a row.

Saturday 3:55 pm: Big Picture Weathermap: Showers are becoming more common over our part of south Texas in our hot and more moist airmass. 98F so far, I will watch the radars.

Looks like government satellite imagery sites have been down since 17:31 UTC.

Saturday 11:13 am: A few sprinkles are in the area. With the cloudier skies, temperatures will likely not rise above the high 90’s/low 100’s. Air lifted >6,500’ altitude would be buoyant to rise to produce scattered tall rain clouds. Chances late pm/evening.

Saturday 8:47 am: Patches of brief light showers moving in. A deeper layer of moist air has moved in from the remains of what had been Edouard. More clouds in our skies, some showers, upper 90’s to low 100’s.

Friday 8:46 pm: Thunderstorm over Ranchos Penitas has mostly faded. Strong thunderstorms with plenty of lightning west of the river. New showers expanding northwest toward El Cenizo.

Friday 5:17 pm: Big Picture Weathermap: Moist air from the remains of Edouard is edging in from the northeast. Scattered decent showers are beginning to form over Webb County and with sea breeze to our east. Slight chance this evening for any given spot. Chances this weekend.

Friday 8:56 am: Layer of moist air is deepening, lifted air a little more buoyant to rise to form taller clouds. Cloud/showers with remains of Edouard is reaching San Antonio, slight shower chances into our area toward evening. Low/mid 100’s pm.
