THINK! Stop, Look, Listen, Live

What do we think? They're often heavily requested but open to this. Given the length of the list I'd need help knowing the handles of all these pricks to remove and add to a separate list though

@hedgehogsafety.bsky.social can I request US politicians be removed from the list? Your work is *invaluable*, keeping hordes of bigots at bay, but I think it's really important that we can all see these politicians for who they are, and are able to call them out. I'll remain a subscriber either way.

Bluesky rolled out rules against dog-piling but I think we all understood that they meant dogpiling *by* trans people; dogpiling *on* trans people is still allowed and even encouraged.

It's day 3 of The Safety Hedgehog versus FBPE nerds! Whole lotta people referring to me as "it" and a whole lotta other people supporting those posts calling me "it" But they're definitely not transphobic and turning to obvious transphobic dogwhistles the moment things get prickly

Sorry for the grumble, I am in the midst of some bad personal life things and needed to rant upon seeing that privileged tantrum from a handful of accounts. Normal service resumed, try not to be transphobic friends.

Spotted this post about the blocklist and just wanted to clarify. The blocklist was set up under that name because at the time a bunch of horrible "polite" British transphobes were trying to worm their way in, so it was a means to stop that in its tracks. Since then we cover any and all transphobes

one of my subscribed blocklists "a very british bigotry" is specifically meant to catch british transphobes (and it workS Well at that) but it Will sweep u americans if they're unusually weird or obnoxious about it
it's very entertaining to see americans become honorary brits through their bigotry

Random Bluesky centrist chud: "this prominent centrist user shouldn't be on the list!" Other random Bluesky centrist chud: "yes that list is definitely not trustworthy any more!" Me: checks and finds the prominent centrist user has spoken against trans kids taking part in sports

Again: deliberately misgendering someone and then refusing to apologise for it because you are having an argument about something else is transphobic. Allyship is defined by your actions, and if you turn to transphobia because you don't like the other person you're not an ally.

Maybe if you were transphobic on Twitter and you are trying to be less so on this platform, you should avoid posting absolute nonsense takes that draw the attention of people who remember your Twitter posts, follows, and likes 💋

In light of the recent new arrivals to Bluesky, I've set up a second list. This is because I know from prior conversations that some of you want to keep up with posts from these bodies and others don't, so this seemed like the best way forward. Hopefully, this is helpful for you all.

They could have the best community guidelines in the world, and it still wouldn't make a difference if they continue to ignore them in order to protect certain accounts and punish others (And these are far from the best community guidelines in the world)

Thank you to the 14,000+ people who shared feedback on our community guidelines! We’re updating our rules for clarity, strengthening enforcement, and introducing product changes for healthier conversations. New guidelines kick in Oct 15. bsky.social/about/blog/0...

The last couple of days have made it abundantly clear that Bluesky has two tiers of moderation (for any who missed the way they treat Palestinian accounts, Black accounts and trans accounts). White right wing voices will be prioritised, every single time. Bluesky Safety is a sham.

Bluesky has banned Aftermath journalist Nathan Grayson for 24 hours for quote tweeting his own article with the words "rest in piss," which apparently is now against the rules here.
