On Wednesday, May 13, HEFNU hosted our annual Theodore “Zev” Weiss Lecture in Holocaust Studies, “"Thirst is dreadful, worse than hunger": Dehydration, Despair, and Death in the Holocaust,” featuring Ed Westermann (Northwestern University)

On Wednesday, April 22 HEFNU hosted Sam Huneke (George Mason University) to speak about his recent publication, “I Will Not Abandon You: Queer Women in Nazi Germany.” Drawing on a decade of archival research, Huneke explores how love, queer resistance, and collective action survived under Nazi rule.
