I'm testing Gemini 3 Flash (thinking_level=low) on a reasoning task and occasionally the output is prepended with tens of thousands of tokens ̶o̶f̶ ̶c̶h̶a̶o̶t̶i̶c̶ ̶r̶a̶m̶b̶l̶i̶n̶g̶s̶ of what seems to be a cut off of its internal thinking process. What's up with that?

One week ago today, I was at #NAACL in Albuquerque, New Mexico presenting a poster on our work about creating LLMs for extremely low-resource Finno-Ugric languages. It was an experience for sure — and likely my last conference as a PhD student 🥹 #NAACL25

Exploring Kallaste and enjoying +12°C while others are enjoying +25°C 😁 Something haunting but beautiful about this place at this time of the year.

Our research group, together with our collaborators, received the University of Tartu's annual language award for the Neurotõlge translation engine that supports 23 Finno-Ugric languages, many of which are endangered. Proud to be part of this inspiring team! 😊 Congratulations to everyone! 🎉

I have a post-doc position to study the effect of AI on education. How can we ensure that AI tools enhance natural intelligence? The position is a part of the Estonian Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence. Please repost - not easy to get people to work in Estonia 🥶 #edusky #neuroAI
