Super excited & honoured to announce that my on-going project "45,000 years of changes in ancestry profiles and environmental conditions as shaping forces of Homo sapiens demography worldwide" has been selected for a short talk at the upcoming #EESHuman conference in Heidelberg! See you all there!

Wonderful preprint by Miccolis et al! "...the first comprehensive review of threat status and policy inclusion of Italian biodiversity, encompassing animals, plants, fungi, lichens, and algae." A monstrous yet necessary work to start tackling the biodiversity crisis! 👏🏻

Such an exciting preliminary program that I feel super honoured to be a part of! Don't forget to register if you want to hear from a panel of wonderful anthropologists + me rambling about the evolution of alcohol metabolism 👀🧬🍻

After a month in Leipzig at the MPI EvAn, 10 days in Belgium, an intense week of CES in Rabat, I have finally got back to Padua! (And, as per the last picture, immediately took my bike to Venice, getting caught in a storm and much mud... but making it to Ithaca)

What a week! I had a wonderful time at #CES2026 and I'm very thankful for the opportunity to hang out with such amazing people and researchers, learn about their work and present my own. 🧬 I leave Morocco the head full of ideas, the heart full of friendship (and the stomach full of tajine) 🙌🏻

🏺🧪Preprint of 1039(!) whole ancient human genomes from Britain, mainly dating to 1st Millennium CE, representing the best part of 7 years of my life. Herculean effort by @marinasdsilva.bsky.social to get this over the line. 'Migration Period' is more migrationy than we could have possibly imagined.
