ignore the thumbnails not loading (this is prod data loaded into a local db but not connected to prod data storage), but I've been working on stuff

screenshot of a heliosphere search result showing 18 mods on the first of four pages. on the left side is a column of tags and affected gear items which each have a number to their right. three tags are yellow at the top of the list, and one tag is red. none of the mod thumbnails have loaded.

thank you all for reporting a specific mod over the past 24-ish hours. I was in hell upgrading/fixing my computer, so I wasn't able to review them until earlier today, and the mod in question had appropriate action taken. sorry for the longer-than-average delay on the reports!

Version 4.9.0 of the Heliosphere plugin can scan your Penumbra library and convert alread-installed mods into Heliosphere-enabled mods! Please make backups in case anything goes wrong in the conversion process. Happy modding!

You will soon be able to scan your Penumbra library to find mods you have installed that are also available on Heliosphere. Then you'll be able to choose which ones you would like to convert to Heliosphere mods, enabling auto-updates for them without manual reinstallation! Watch this space...

Heliosphere will be going down for maintenance in ~5 minutes (02:30 Eastern) as it is moved to new infrastructure. This may be a fairly long maintenance, up to a few hours. Thank you for your patience!

Firefox appears to have rolled out local network permissions now, so Heliosphere has been updated to show its warning for all browsers, not just Chrome. If the website no longer offers to use the plugin for you, this may be why!

Expecting to be able to download using the plugin? Heliosphere requires special permissions for the plugin integration to work. Click the button below to grant them.

Important: the game must be open with the Heliosphere plugin installed.

There's a button below this warning that says "Request permission" and a link below that saying "Don't show this again".

Work has begun on a feature that lets creators set account-wide preferences for whether PMPs of their mods downloaded from Heliosphere should retain their original descriptions and URLs. It can be overridden per-mod, as well.

Heliosphere is looking for additional mod creators to help advise in private about moderation decisions and policies. Specifically, we are in need of the voices and experiences of people of colour. If you are interested in helping shape our moderation, please see the replies for contact information.

What do creators and users want from resource hosting? Pages, similar to mods, but with multiple files available to download from a list instead of the one big download button?

Many people remember the past when Heliosphere required its companion plugin to function. It hasn't required it for a long time. Without the plugin, the big yellow download button downloads a PMP.

We appreciate all the new sign-ups! If any of you are considering subscribing, the code WOKE is available for 75% off your first month for new subscribers. Only 10 uses available. We also offer 14-day free trials!

Did you know that Heliosphere has a function to prevent inappropriate words from being contained in mod IDs? Fortunately, people have already made lists of profane and inappropriate words, so we didn't have to come up with the list ourselves...

Added a tooltip to the PMP download stage icon and numeric progress below the progress bar. Hoping to make this UI even more informational and clear as time goes on!

Screenshot of a PMP download on Heliosphere's website. Newly added to this view are a tooltip on the icon showing what stage the download is in (currently showing "Downloading files") and a numeric progress (currently showing 2,705/12,284).
