I was playing around with Ultrawide Band (UWB)to test out some ideas I have. However, only the top tier Android phones (Pixel Pro and Samsung Galaxy S) have support for this. Meanwhile, the iPhone has supported this since the iPhone 11.

I don't think there's anyone who has used Bluetooth that would say that it's a nice technology from a user perspective. But why is this such a bad user experience and why has it not been fixed in the 25 years it has been around? The only exception is Apple, so it is possible to get it right.

A question for my #iOS and #Android followers: Those of you who have apps using hardware features like Camera, Bluetooth, NFC or similar; are you writing integration tests for these features that you run automatically on your CI pipelines? If so, what's your setup for this?

A few months ago I shipped a bug that broke a feature that users hit at app launch. When fixing it, I added a feature flag to disable that feature entirely if needed. I had to use that feature flag today. Use feature flags, my friends.
