I keep doodling with a little side project that's a bit King's Field-y but I just really cannot get first person melee combat feeling how I want to - does anyone have any tips or ideas? #gamedev
I've started doing recreational football for over 30s, I've not really played since I was about 10 but looking forward to just how bad I can be
Never underestimate the power of vertex colours Game: Final Fantasy X (2001)
I don't mean to keep going on about it but it is genuinely mind-boggling to me that there are so few racing RPG blends like Racing Lagoon If Racing Lagoon had better car-to-car collision, I think it'd be extremely close to my ideal car game
Very few games out there that can rival the atmosphere in this game 😮💨
I don't actually know the exact number but the answer is "many"
Naming a video game you've completed more than six times is trickier.
Feel like I had a REALLY good idea that I want to make but I need to make something resembling a final game with my current project Will definitely be jumping on it straight afterwards
Someone pointed out this effect in Ace Combat 3 to me What a brilliant way to replicate a heat shimmer/mirage effect #psx
Trying to find dark fantasy artwork/concept art for moodboards is a horrific AI cesspit - would appreciate if anyone had resources for that especially big foreboding castles (:
Appreciate this might be common knowledge for some folks but it was a bit of a revelation to me that vertex colours work so much better when you model using triangles as opposed to quads 🤯
Forbidden Land in FF3 DS has some gorgeous vertex colouring Really close to the vibe I want in my caves but I don't think I could ever do it this well
Changed the time of day to make the area a bit clearer! I do think I want night-time to be actually very dark but probably not so good for sharing clips! 😛 #gamedev
Really starting to nail down the vibe I think, I've wanted to explore ideas for a dark fantasy world for ages and think this will be a good conduit for it #gamedev
I started playing a PS1 game for research purposes but now I want to speedrun it...
A lone cathedral rises from the stone. In it's shadow lies a vast pool of purple water, faintly glowing, as if lit from some ethereal force beneath the depths. The air here is always cold, thick with the smell of incense that was burned centuries ago and never fully faded. #gamedev
