In 2026, Hennepin County won 22 awards from four national organizations! The County Board was honored to present recognitions of these achievements to nearly 250 staff members, from 18 different departments, and all lines of business.

I was able to join Commissioner Edelson, members of the Hennepin Health System Board, and county staff to tour the Hennepin County Medical Center yesterday and learn from the department leaders and staff teams who make this essential, Level 1 trauma center run every day.

Each year my office and our loved ones do volunteer yard work for those who need it through Senior Community Services. We were so happy to meet Barbara in Bloomington and brighten up the green spaces and gardens with a lot of weeding and raking. 🌿 🌻

I joined veterans and residents at Bloomington and @cityofep.bsky.social Memorial Day events to recognize men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who have given their lives to protect and preserve the United States throughout its 250 year history. It is always an honor to be with you. 🗽 🦅

My office met with the Kenny Neighborhood Association on Tuesday, and we had meaningful conversations around HCMC funding and other key issues impacting @hennepin.bsky.social County residents. I look forward to connecting with you and our diverse constituencies throughout the summer.

A top priority this session was a $1.24 billion bonding bill. The District Five cities of Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Minneapolis, and Richfield will receive millions to update aging infrastructure, increase safety and public health, and improve service delivery.
