Why do you always feel motivated to do things when you are in a place where you can’t do them? Because it’s safe and not your fault if you don’t do them.

Accidentally “liking” a stranger’s post is like in real life when you wave to a friend on the street but then you realize you have the wrong person.

What was the first advertisement? Was it pre or post the invention of language? Like maybe a bunch of rocks forming an arrow pointing at a person with extra furs to trade?

Ringo must be the most well-known drummer in the world right? Who's the most well-known guitar player? Hendrix? Clapton? Eddie Van Halen? I mean even if you asked people who have no interest in or knowledge of music. Like if you asked them about bass players they'd not really know what that meant.

Happy birthday to Kate Bush. Even though everyone knows how influential she's been, I don't think people realize how influential she's been.

I'm listening to Robyn Hitchcock's delightful latest album The Confuser, which just came out. Has any other artist had such a consistent decade-spanning catalog? Between 1979's Soft Boys Can of Bees and today, he hasn't strayed a bit from his singular thing. Maybe Jonathan Richman?

It seems like Wooly Bully could be a huge hit now if it was presented in the right way. Like maybe in a movie or a TikTok. I think it's just the right kind of different from everything in the charts while being universally fun and snarky. Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs are about to make a comeback.

Years ago one of my old bands splurged for radio promotion and we mailed out hundreds of CDs to stations. Weeks later on Amazon there were dozens of Brand New Sealed copies of our album listed for like a dollar each. Not only did they just turn around and sell our stuff, they undercut our prices.

I feel like people should be using the auto-wah guitar solo from Edie Brickell's What I Am as background music for short form comic video memes.
