And finally some hydrangeas from our Windcliff visit. No names on these sorry! 🌷🌱
If anyone is near McMinnville, OR I have some plants that I am selling. Baby iris and hydrangeas, ferns, aster, dahlias, and some other stuff. 🌱🌷
Some happy flowers from Windcliff. A tiny pineapple lily, phantom agapanthus, salvia patens, and unknown, but loved much by the bugs! 🌱🌷
Some water features and added agapanthus bonus from Windcliff! I must have asked Robert three times if it vas okay I just over there and picked one out to buy! 🌷🌱 So many beauties!
I know @snellis.bsky.social already shared some of our adventures, but here is my take, starting with the renaissance garden at Heronswood! 🌱🌷
Too hot to do much the past few days. Garden kitty has enjoyed rolling in the hot gravel, the front patio filled with pots, the catio bed, and pineapple lilies! Zorro got too big so I had to move some to another spot, but never fear my pineapple lily love goes on ♥️🌷🌱
Translation queen putting on a show over here ♥️
There is a lot to say about the Nolan Odyssey movie. But one point that I think has not been emphasized enough is: this is a film about living in LA, as Nolan, my erstwhile British compatriot and age mate, has done for years. I gather it’s a strange place.
Second flush roses! The Pilgrim, Summer Song, and Munstead Wood. I am in love with Summer Song. I know she is weak and a problematic rose, but that color is so unlike any other rose I have seen! 🌱🌷
Working on my new hydrangea alley! The lay out is mostly done, still have room for a few more, I will cut these back this weekend to hopefully allow time for new growth and blooms next summer. These are all a bit scraggly and leggy from being in pots for the last few years. 🌷🌱
I'm pretty lucky to have this guy ♥️
🌱Story time of today’s adventure. Someone ( @heralyn.bsky.social ) woke up with the “sads” today. After 4 hours of overtime and some minor poking at the garden, I decided to change things. And, coincidentally… it was the Cascade Trail Nurseries Mid-Summer Sale. You know what that means… plants!
A few more beauties from around the garden today. Rose of Sharon White Chiffon, rose Nye Bevan, dahlia Polka, and Agapanthus Twister. 🌱🌷
As @snellis.bsky.social says, merry christmas! An amaryllis in bloom in July! I buy two or three of these every holiday season and after they bloom pot them up. So they bloom at odd times based on how old they are. This might be one of my favorites with the white edges on the petals.
Rose The Lark Ascending showing off, same flowers in shade (showing more peach) and sun (glowing golden). My favorite rose for beauty, and one I will always recommend! 🌱🌷
The day lilies are taking over the gravel garden. I'm thrilled to see them settling in so well. 🌱🌷
My favorite kind of fireworks! A new to me toad lily, hydrangeas Fuji Waterfall, Pistachio, and Miss Saori, all looking lovely today. 🌷🌱
Today is Gary's three year adoptiversary! He celebrated with some outside time and tuna for all! Here's to many more years with this sweet boy! ♥️♥️♥️
Taking a break from hydrangeas (yes, I still have more to post!) here are some other flowers from the garden! First up miniature rose Green Ice, achillea Double Diamond, crocosmia Lucifer, and gillenia trifoliata, which I just saw at Dancing Oaks and wish I would have bought like three more! 🌱🌷
Hydrangeas and friends today! Hydrangea platyarguta, deinanthe caerulea, hydrangea Snow Queen, and a hydrangea x dichroa hybrid. 🌱🌷
More hydrangeas waking up! Golden Crane, Maculata, Painter's Pallet, and a very small bloom of O Amacha Nishiki. 🌱🌷
Hydrangeas today! Lanarth White, Miss Saori, Zorro, and Ayesha getting started! 🌷🌱
Garden today! More roses and checkermallow, yucca in bloom, first sweet pea harvest, and the back corner filling in a bit. 🌱🌷
My summer song is finally blooming! And of course it is during a heatwave and so the blooms are terrible. But I love her and can't wait for her to grow and grow! It is really interesting to me how much red is reflecting back on my hand in these photos, shows just how strong the coloration is! 🌷🌱
Some of my current favorite combos happening in the garden! 🌷🌱 Hydrangea and spirea, rose, clematis, and checkermallow, alstroemerias and carpinteria elizabeth, and rose and pine tree!
Trying out the new 10 pics post to see how I like it. I guess posts over five pics bring back the carousel. Here are some wildcats pics, I'm sure there are some repeats! 🐈🐈⬛
Looks a bit of a mess and not quite done, but hellbed 2.0 has been planted! We changed up the layout and I have lots of tall beardeds I can pull as the peonies get bigger! Still a few more plants to squeeze in and gravel to finish. 🌷🌱
Currently putting on a show are roses Jude the Obscure and The Lady of Shallot. Getting ready for the show are hydrangeas Limelight, Zorro, Golden Needle, Zebra, and more! 🌱🌷
Partied a bit too hard in the garden today and have once again injured my back. At least I got some nice pictures to look at! One of our last peonies, I think this is hot chocolate, garden kitty on patrol, peony Tish still putting on a show, and rose Jude the Obscure just getting started. 🌷🌱🌷🌱
