The Witch Hat Atelier anime is goooorgeous and I will praise Shirahama as a master of her craft till I die. But I only discovered it when s3 of TOH was being made. Any similarities are entirely coincidental! If you want to read something that inspired me for TOH, China Mieville’s Bas Lag series!
