Boy, you never want to meet a friend like mine… || MDNI || 21+ mun ||
//Putting Sail North songs on her playlist is ominous in a way I can’t verbalise but
//Hands open I should be gremlin on Judith more.
“May Brigid’s pride and joy have a good nameday. Cheers!” A lift of her flask. She’ll drink the good whiskey in this cheer, because it’s a worthy hope.
Too predictable. [It was a feint! Judith moves quicker than anticipated, spinning out of the way and tapping Hilda’s chest with her rapier.] I gave you twenty strikes. You at least wounded me, which is better than most. I am impressed, when you try, you try.
( if anything, Hilda speeds her movements up, she's actually trying now. seeing her slow down, finally this her chance! with het axe, she moves to strike the sword from her hand! )
//I might have to make a Judith playlist but expect it to be like. A mix of “I *am* that bitch” and disaster bi energy.
Nope. Not until my head is fully gray, you little punk.
💦💦 I’m not gonna win this one, am I?
[Several more steps, then Judith hisses as she’s forced to twist her body to evade one strike, the cut on her arm finally seeming to slow her. Now’s Hilda’s chance, surely this isn’t one of her famous feints, right? She said she wouldn’t attack…]
Urgh. ( a sigh. fine, fine, she will try.....she has no choice but to. ) You're lucky I look cute with my axe! ( she soon went to send some powerful swings her way )
It’s a term pf endearment from your mother’s oldest friend, stop being dramatic.
If you’re a man, I’m old. So therefore you are still a boy.
💦 Come on, now. Sure, I’m still the same master tactician and all, but you’ve got to cut me some slack, here. I’m a grown man!
You’ll always be a young boy to me, kiddo.
Judith. You know I’m not some “boy” anymore.
//How did I not follow Spade’s remade Claude here
Nope. I said disarm me, not try to. [It’s going to take a few swings to tire Judith out, even with her arm bleeding. She’s not known as the Hero of Daphnel for no reason, side stepping with alarming ease now that she’s seeing how Hilda fights.]
There, I tried. Can I leave now? ( can't wait a girl for trying! she got her arm, that's gotta count for something, right? Hilda goes to press the advantage, and goes to send another strike with her axe to her sword )
[Like a flash, the sword moves out of the path of the axe, though Judith’s arm gets nicked slightly. Huh. Not bad reflexes. Focusing on the target, since she had said disarming her was the goal.] Fighting smart is always a good first step. Most aim to tire me out first, and tire first instead.
( she sees the sidestep and Hilda looks and sees an opening finally. her gaze goes to the rapier, and moves her axe quickly to strike the sword )
[Sidesteps out of the way. Those eyes narrow, tempted to give critiques, but not yet. She doesn’t think Hilda is giving her all yet.]
( a huff escapes her in response. she moves towards the other, axe in hand, once she is close enough to Judith, Hilda moves to hold her axe with both hands as she moves to send a powerful swing her way )
And actually try. No halfhearted nonsense. Sooner you can disarm me, sooner you can leave. [She’s got sharp eyes, after all, as sharp as her tongue. She picks up her rapier, standing in form.] I won’t attack, only defend. Start!
Fineeeeee. ( a dramatic sigh, it seems she can't play the Hero of Daphneal so easily. Hilda goes to grab her axe ) I guess I'll try.
[Judith clearly doesn’t buy it. She’s seen Hilda on the field.] Nice try, but I know about you. I know Holst would never let you fight when you say you’re feeling faint, but Holst isn’t here and the battlefield isn’t so kind. Pick up your axe.
( placing the back of her hand on her forhead, rather dramatically, trying to feign illness at the mere thought of training ) Oh no! I feel suddenly so light headed.
“Hm. Maybe I should embrace the gray in my hair. Salt and pepper warrior women are someone’s type…”
Don’t skip steps in dating, kids. It’s not worth it. Marriage is lifelong. Know you’re truly compatible first.
[She just got slapped by a shopkeep she was flirting with, and she’s blinking in surprise at how strong a slap that dainty lady had.]
//Accidental Judith being the relationship guru when she’s a disaster bi is hilarious I love making her try to be responsible, expect her not to follow her own advice, do as I say not do.
Yes. You do. Every month I need to assess your skills. Kid’s orders. [They’re not orders from Claude, she’s absolutely bullshitting, she just wants to see what everyone’s made of to find a potential new sparring partner.]
Uh - ( 💧 ) Hello, Judith. Do I gotta?
Will saying it get you on the training field, kiddo?
Say it with me. "Hilda! Hilda! Hilda!"
