Herrific

Tired, caffeinated, feral, caffeinated, fed up, caffeinated. Entering my Crone Era.

Found out today that a colleague took my instructional materials, changed them, made them incorrect, and is now sharing them as her work. Ma’am, if you don’t know a citation format, don’t “correct” the folks who do.

Anthem says they won’t cover my prescriptions, but they have identified an easy way for me to cut down on my medical expenses. Apparently it’s called just fucking die already.

It’s funny, but Trump has damaged the White House so badly that if a foreign adversary hit it, a good percentage of people would be like, “Eh, it was already kinda fucked up.”

I love how my institution makes random accreditation-jeopardizing decisions and then tells faculty to “work with the students” to minimize the impacts. I can’t tell if it’s a sadist or a crackhead writing our policy.

My LinkedIn has had a ton of searches from one geographical region recently, and it turns out that someone in the same industry as I, with the same full name, is under investigation there for a political assassination. Ummmm, not it. I plead the Shaggy.

I have written about 60 pages in the last week. I’ve had weeks with more, obviously, but my wrists, eyes, ass, and motivation all tell me it’s time to wrap this up.

I’m at the agitated phase of writing, where all the words are fermented and bubbling around under my skin, and if anything external brushes against them they’ll explode out in self-defense.

Okay, dumb question, but would my lettuce be cheaper if I got the one without the parasites? Because I really don’t need to pay extra for parasites and groceries are crazy lately.

USPS phone assistance line is sooooooooo not accessible if you’re visually impaired. Why is there no option to speak a tracking number and instead you have to enter it on the keypad? My computer could have read the number aloud, but nope.

You ever realize something so painfully obvious it hurts? Because I just did, and damn. My kid is out doing an errand. He said he’d go to a drive through. It’s one I refuse to use because it is so difficult for me to navigate. Hs has no problem with it. Spouse has no problem. It’s just me. But…

I love my weather apps, but my weather has flash flooding, my parents have a tornado watch, my eldest has severe thunderstorms, and where middle is moving is on fire. I love being well informed that everything is terrifying because we fucked it all up.

I saw that J. D. and Usha were saying that they decided to have another child after Erika said she wished she had another baby, and dammmn Usha, but still, you know he’s got more sperm, right?

Husband just walked in quietly and then was surprised. He thought I was on the phone. No, the cat was meowing and I was answering. That’s how conversations work, my guy. I’m not going to ignore her when she obviously has stuff to process.
