The Colorado Women's Bar Association is one of our state's largest groups championing women's rights. When CWBA invited me to an AG candidate forum, I was all in. If you ask Colorado women to trust you as their lawyer, show up and answer questions. Thank you to CWBA for Friday's fantastic forum.

Commuting Tina Peters' sentence is outrageous and undermines the rule of law. It's a betrayal of our justice system, the jurors who convicted her, and the public servants who protect our elections. As your next AG, I'll hold anyone accountable who abuses power to harm our democracy.

Years ago, I was traveling to Durango as a federal prosecutor to take on a scammer preying on vulnerable victims. I keep finding reasons to come back, yesterday's campaign stop being the latest. Colorado's AG fights for every corner of the state, not just the metro area.

Thanks to the Lowry United Neighborhood for last night's candidate forum. Not every candidate showed up, but this campaign is earning your support on the merits. That means showing up and answering real, unscripted questions. Public trust demands nothing less.
