You can't make me watch the video of RFK jr flipping out. I won't do it. His voice is a million nails on a million chalkboards. Every word is a vocal dry heave. A power tool with something stuck in it. He was sent to the world of the living to torture us.

Content Creator might not be the *most* evil career path, but the rise of Content Creators and their "be as desperately obnoxious as possible for attention it's the only way to earn a living" attitude has been really bad for the world generally.

Evangelist Whitney Lynn says she preaches on planes because she loves “a captive audience.” She's not alone. It's becoming a trend. If spreading your message requires listeners who can't escape, maybe it's not as compelling as you think. www.friendlyatheist.com/p/christian-...

I would’ve loved this as a kid. I did brownies and girl guides. We rarely went outside. It was mostly arts and crafts in church basements. I quit pathfinders because it was just tweens sitting and talking in church basements. Gender segregation sucks actually.

I LOVED this essay in the NYT about the "triumph" of girls in Scouting America (gift link). The girls' troops that began in 2019 are doing amazing things. I've found most people in Scouting are supportive of the belated inclusivity, and this piece refutes the hostility of naysayers so elegantly.
