The director of Cyberpunk Edgerunners is the same guy who gave us Dead Leaves. That show makes so much more sense in this context.

Game designer, dancer, and menace. The living epitome of "bangers only". If you don't know me from my games, you should actually check them out. Some of them are good. Some of them are intentionally bad. 🎮 Hexavexagon.itch.io 📺 Twitch.tv/hexavexagon
Forming a new party called We Will Not Form A Coalition Government With National. We're running on a single issue platform about not forming a coalition government with National.
Similarly, I know that people don't jump through hoops mentally because they want to, but if they're honest with themselves and stop jumping through hoops, the justification for animal product industry is simply not there.
Something I often struggle to put into words is that I don't want to be excused for bad behavior even if I have made that decision based on understandable circumstances. This thread (which is excellent end-to-end) does a great job of demonstrating why that mindset is against our own interests.
But it seems to me that most people, when it comes to food, begin with what they want to believe - my diet is right and ethical - and look for evidence to support it. I understand this: it's literally a visceral issue. But we have to try to get beyond what we want to believe, hard as that is.
When I discuss huge systemic issues, people say "but what I can I do?" When I mention something meaningful you can do immediately, people say (as the replies here show) "but what's the point, in the face of the huge systemic issues?" There are, it seems, plenty of people who want to be helpless.
It's a point I've been trying to make for a long time: there is no good way to meet even 10% of current demand for animal products. They trash the living world, whichever way you do it. If you want to reduce your impact, switch to a plant-based diet. www.theguardian.com/environment/...
It's so easy not to play the eugenics game published by the AI booster that partners with the biggest anti-trans freak on the planet.
Man, thankfully no one is playing or making stuff for this bad game run a billion dollar company that's putting AI into everything! www.geeknative.com/225567/hasbr...
The dev intended experience of Synthetik is getting railed by absolutely every type of enemy in the game. The actual experience of Synthetik is sitting on the menu screen making the robot voice say all the different class names like you're staring into the fridge and can't decide what to eat.
Tears Of Metal is out. What's important to note about this is that it's probably the first game in history with a dedicated button for yelling "SCOTLAND!!!"
Not as a joke, games without a dedicated dance zone to proclaim your victories in rhythm and groove are made wrong.
Everyone on here be like “oh yes I am a games designer with very strong opinions”, meanwhile here’s Anna age 12 out-designing all of you with her amazing pavement games. G’aun yersel, Anna.
This is still my most correct take. This will always be my most correct take. Midway give me $100.
Mortal Kombat should let you cancel a fatality and have the announcer say "PSYCHE".
When video games introduce a 'slipping on a banana peel' mechanic, and my immediate reaction is "That's so fucking stupid as hell. This would only be funny if I made my character slip on every one, as a bit.", which, fellas let me tell you, is exactly what playtesting is like.
And we have a #KiwiRPG blog festival going on, three new posts to share today! First: @hexavexagon.bsky.social explores Your First First Playtest - essential knowhow for #TTRPG devs (and a nice warmup for the panel starting at 7:30pm!) www.kiwirpg.com/blog/2026/07...

beautiful day for GUTTER
I have such an expertly curated algorithm that I'm seeing posts from Mexican street food restaurants in the US and this is how they're advertising the game tomorrow night. "Good vibes"
I haven't had the energy to post much hype about KiwiRPG week but I recommend taking a look at the schedule, as well as the bundles and blog posts. If you're across those three things you'll see at least 90% of what's going on.
Check out the whole week: www.kiwirpg.com/kiwirpg-week...

Checking to see which manga have been picked up for adaptation next season:
I cannot stress enough that Veravita takes inspiration from across the entire isekai genre, but -especially- the fucked up and weird shit.
My only centrist political view is that it's morally wrong to scrungle the cat but it's worth it.
I have once again seen a phrase and immediately understood that I am to say it in the tune of Angel in a Centerfold.
Moomin with a zweihänder 💙
The name Vinny is so wild because its existence alone gives you a tangible sense of how many people would rather sound like a deadbeat uncle than a high end perfume brand.
@stillfleet.bsky.social the way this is like at least 97% Wythe-coded fucking gets me.
i feel like i'm only getting better at balancing the tone of this stuff
