I don’t know if this is something that’s already come up in interviews or not but reading this thread made realize Backrooms is basically an inferior version of The Shining. (I didn’t care for Backrooms but that’s just my personal taste. My kids loved it though!)

i think this is the first time i've seen this movie since i've been older than jack nicholson was when it was made and i have to say that it really changed how i saw him. more than anything else he's pathetic! he whines, he sulks, he throws goofy little tantrums when he hits an obstacle

My 13 y/o wants me to take them to #ResidentEvil but they aren’t really into horror movies and it seems to be because a kid at school said it was good and they want to be able to talk about it. I think it’s too intense but I haven’t seen it. Can anyone suggest a comp we could watch at home first?

Exactly. Thanks to decades-long efforts of their predecessors to take over media, education and the judiciary, the current GOP has no concern for the consequences of short-term victories; even when they hurt their voters, the power they hold over those institutions saves them from accountability.
