Spoopy Name: SUDDENLY JAX DISCOURSE@dottiedoggo.bsky.social · 2mo ago@heycasperkelly.bsky.social just out now — what a huge surprise … and this is sincere. Not a horror movie deep down. A tragic story, a story about feelings. Spoof? Maybe on the surface, but like Buddy himself there’s so much unsaid that runs so much more real than the horror elements.
Saw it last night. Probably the most subversive film to come out this year. The fact it was shot in Cleveland only adds to the weirdness. And watching the producer try to explain the concept to middle America on New Day Cleveland is amusing as hell. We need more films like this. 🎬

My pitch for new Bond film: All of Blofeld’s evil schemes succeed simultaneously beyond his wildest dreams with no resistance and he has to think up new ones. He becomes Bond’s boss too. Bond never appears in the movie - unclear if he’s dead or resigned in protest or something.
There's so much to say about Rob Reiner as a director, an activist, and a mensch, but I just can't summon it right now.
Now on Shudder! Very proud to be a part of this I think all the segments are bangers

RIP George Lowe. Wonderfully kind and funny man. Brilliant improvisor. Art collector. Raconteur. Space Ghost was genius and helped usher in a new wave of oddball tv.
Ghost Planet@ghostplanet.bsky.social · 2y agoIt is with a heavy heart that I have to announce the Passing of George Lowe. Lowe was best known for his role as Space Ghost in Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Cartoon Planet alongside Brak's Dad on the Brak Show and as himself on Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
I enjoyed this line from the Tony Roberts obit. Rest in peace, sir!
