my simplest non art advice to budding artists, do NOT have your bio/username disparage your work or reference being an "aspiring artist," makes me sad cuz it hurts the perception of your art & hinders your confidence which is necessary for improving if you do art youre an artist, dont lampshade it

I tell people at cons that to stick with drawing or any kind of art, you need two things: 1) have so much fun you can’t stop 2) train yourself to have a high frustration tolerance If you have 1 and not 2, you won’t improve. If you have 2 and not 1, it’s a miserable chore. Then I show them this:
