She/Her. Almost always obsessing about Interview with the Vampire/The Vampire Lestat. I love the classics and you will hear about it. Mostly, I’m just here to have fun. No minors please.

This remains my biggest complaint about this season. TVL is not a short book. There are so many elements that had to be sacrificed because of the obvious time and budget considerations. And it has done the show and its audience a great disservice.

tvl deserved 13 eps at least 7 eps sucks my unpopular opinion is that it’s best to not release something if the conditions to make it truly impeccable are not ideal

I’m in a spirited debate with two men about The Odyssey (2026). I’m tempted to reach across the table and strangle one or both of them. I should clarify that the debate is happening in my head. They’re just having a conversation about it next to me. So they might be surprised by my behavior.

I love Nolan’s The Odyssey and I love Wilson’s translation of The Odyssey. I finally had the time to read Wilson’s scathing review of the film and I am genuinely delighted by it. This is what a lively and intelligent critical dialogue looks like.

In the week I’ve been away there’s been three devastating incidents of gun violence in my home city. Among the dead is a two year old child. One of my friends was at the festival yesterday when the shooting began (she ran to safety). I feel so terrified and devastated and angry for us all.

And to the tsa agent who made me cry in public by confiscating my favorite peanut butter when I’m already having a terrible day: I hope you experience at least two frustrating inconveniences this week.

Hello IWTV/TVL friends (especially those with extensive photo collections): I am looking for clear photos of Lestat and Louis’s hands. I need them for reference. Just wanting to see if there’s photos out there that I haven’t seen. Thanks!

Sadly, if so many members of this fandom didn’t genuinely fill me with so much dread and terror, I would have loved to be more forthcoming about things like being here at sdcc, sharing the things I see as they happen, etc. But it does not feel like a safe space. And that’s a shame.

Not to climb back on this horse again (I never climbed off) but I think it’s pretty remarkable that season 3 got all the external buzz when the writing and acting for seasons 1 and 2 are undoubtedly superior. Please note that’s not the same thing as saying “every one/thing sucked in s3.” #tvl #iwtv

Every time I see a film bro talk about how Nolan’s The Odyssey “sucks” because Odysseus is a trickster and he CANNOT be a thoughtful man haunted by the consequences of his actions and the trauma of war, I think to myself: the male loneliness epidemic isn’t bad enough. They need to be more lonely.

The best thing I watched this weekend was actually Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. Speaking as someone who actually loves this story, I think it’s an exceptional adaptation; maybe the best I’ve seen.

I really loved this interview and getting insight from Jacob, Sam, and Sheila about the finale and what it tells us about season 4. Jacob loving Long Table Louis is so real. I loved that little callback to season 1 mean Louis. youtu.be/j66U6p730gg?...

A cover story for #TheVampireLestat finale with Sam Reid, Jacob Anderson & Sheila Atim, written by me. They set the stage for Akasha's return in a potential Season 4 & explain Part 1's ending with Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, Delainey Hayles & Rolin Jones #iwtv

Can we possibly stop with the smug admonishing or making fun of folks for having a hard time with a season and finale that have admittedly been very polarizing for various reasons? What do you gain from dunking on people for just expressing their disappointment?
