Thinking of riding your e-scooter in a park? Not so fast. E-scooters are not permitted in municipal parks, except on select trails where they are specifically allowed as part of the municipality’s micromobility program.

The safety boom (floating yellow barrier) in the water near the Paper Mill Lake Dam, adjacent to Scott Saunders Memorial Park Beach in Bedford, has been damaged. The beach is closed until further notice. Anyone using the beach is asked to stay clear of the dam spillway and obey posted signage.

Heading to DeWolf Park in Bedford? Routine timber boardwalk repairs will begin on Monday, June 1. The work is expected to take approximately two weeks. The construction area will be fenced off with minimal impact on park users. The repairs are being coordinated through Parks Capital Projects.

The Spryfield Wave Pool at the Captain William Spry Community Centre is closed effective today, Tuesday, May 12, due to unexpected maintenance. We anticipate the work will be completed by Thursday, May 14. An update on the pool’s status will be shared on social media before 2 p.m. on Thursday.
