I like movie watching and bird watching 🎥 🦉 I spend my days writing code at Slack and my evenings making the pinball tournament app Match Play Events: @matchplay.events 📍 San Francisco, CA (via Denmark) 📸 Canon R6 Mark II, RF 100-500

One of my first bird photos (with a fresh edit this morning 😅). This marsh wren is from 2023 when I rented an Olympus OM-1 camera to try things out (I eventually ended up buying a much heavier setup 😂). Looking at it now I realize it's not really in focus 🙈 #BirdOfTheDay 🪶

Nothing better than stumbling on a #MilkNoir by accident. Stephen McNally has a bank to rob, but first he must enjoy a delicious glass of buttermilk. VIOLENT SATURDAY (1955) turned out to be a real banger! 🥛 ❤️

Screenshot from the movie Violent Saturday. An Amish woman is standing in front of a farm house with her hands clasped. On her right an Amish boy is pull on her skirt. On her left a man in a suit is holding a glass of buttermilk. The subtitles read "Oh, thank you. You're very kind."

Guess it's time to get back to my life's work documenting #milknoir Now that I've nuked the twitter evidence I'm starting over here.Gonna take me a bit to catch up, but please send me screenshot evidence of adults drinking or intending to drink milk in thriller flicks letterboxd.com/jedidiahayre...

The San Francisco garter snake is endemic to the San Francisco peninsula and has been listed on the federal endangered species list since 1967. I was lucky to see both a young snake and an adult snake at Año Nuevo State Park this weekend. 🐍

This year I've gotten a lot better at telling the little brown birds apart. Two from this spring: Lincoln's sparrow in Joshua Tree National Park and a White-throated sparrow at Fort Mason in San Francisco 🪶 #BirdOFTheDay
