Zach Bussey 🍁@zachbussey.tos.gg · 10h agoTwitch is exploring the launch of a Boss Battle feature. Randomly, a Boss will show up in chat, and viewers need to fight it with Subs, Gifted Subs, and Bits for it to go away. If you beat it, you may get a temporary emote and/or a chat badge.
For my Twitch friends, chatter around the traps is "AIOptedOut" is the tag a lot of folks are going with. Twitch are NOT going to label streams that are opted in, so it's our responsibility to ensure folks know our streams are safe and a consistent tag is a good start. #AIOptedOut #Twitch #VSky

Added some quotes from a stream featuring Twitch's Head of Community and Chief Product Officer. When asked what will happen when people who are opted out stream together with opted-in users, Twitch didn't have an answer Twitch also won't offer a feature to easily see which channels are opted in.

This week has been finals week, and so far I’ve finished 4 classes, aced the final exams for those that had them with 100% (music theory and Astronomy!), and just 2 to go! One I’ll finish today and am confident I’ll get 100% on my final project, but the other is English, which refuses to end.
Man I was so looking forward to streaming again after this week. B( If they implement this I’m not coming back
Zach Bussey 🍁@zachbussey.tos.gg · 2w agoTwitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.
And now I just finished the very last assignment for this class. I got 100% 😌✨ All that’s left is to study for the final next week.

Hello friends, sorry I’ve been MIA for a while - I went back to school to finish my degree! Classes have really been kicking my butt, though, and I haven’t had any time for streaming (let alone sleeping 😩) Despite my deep exhaustion, it’s overall been a great experience and I’m learning a lot! 1/2
