Highlight of entire trip for me was an afternoon at Muir Woods, across the Golden Gate Bridge. So quiet there was barely even birdsong, just the quiet cool of these redwood giants. Thanks big friends, for your company, shade, and oxygen 🙏
At the famous Crab House in Fisherman’s Wharf, where we’ve got dungeoness crab three ways: crab topped clam chowder in a Boudin sourdough bread bowl, crab garlic noods, crab mac ‘n cheese, and crab fried rice🦀🌉

I can’t believe this, but I just saved a jackrabbit from a coyote! I’m still in shock.
Loved getting to try Hainanese chicken rice for the first time. I’ve heard of it from Asian chefs, but never seen it on a menu before. It’s roasted chicken with rice cooked in the chicken’s bone broth, with a side of the bone broth for dipping or sipping. Simple and so good.
Old house, new house. He’s so pretty. Living his best jungle cat life now. This window frequently gets buzzing hummingbirds, and he loves that.
Gardens of the World…this is the downtown municipal green that is free and open to the public. I’m in the English rose garden. This was taken last month, and that’s my lovely sister behind me. I love the lighting in this photo. I could just drink it up.

Began the day with a low-grade case of food poisoning, but ending it with my furry buddy who I think sees a tiny lizard outside.
